Intercooler option for 147 jtd 8v

Hi all,

What is easiest option for a bigger intercooler?

I have heard either the 156 or 159 jtd has a bigger intercooler that bolts on and all same pipe can be used?

Thanks

Intercoolers ;-)

There you get a perfekt kit. If you buy hoses, pipes, clamps and intercooler by yourself, i think you need to spend more money.

I have spend more then 500 EUR for intercooler and piping for my Fiat Stilo (lot of tests with different pipes and hoses).

The stock SMICs are not a good solution.

And yes, the downpipe will fit. But there a two different downpipes - with or without lambda.

Alfa 156 has only a SMIC.

Interesting, do you know where i can find out if the 156 intercooler will be bigger than the 147 !

I know it isn't the best method, but it may be the easiest method of getting some form of improvement!

Thanks again
Ming

After more research on Eper and Ebay, here are the details:

147 intercooler - PArt number - 46744880 - Core Dimensions : 240 x 172 x 62 mm
156 intercooler - part number - 60686738 - Core Dimensions : 240 x 202 x 62 mm

147 intercooler - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOLK-Inter...8AAOSwhOdXps8X

As you can see the 156 do have a wider intercooler!! And As pipe according to ebay, it fits both JTD car, i can only assume that this wil be a plug and play, this is something i am planning to do next month!

Also could i remove the intercooler without taking off the front bumper?

Thanks
Ming
