Speakers Losing Bass Intermittendly

As above.....every now and again on my TV stereo sound system i lose bass and either have to turn the power on and off or else turn the volume way up to get the bass back.

My question...must be a simple fix....what connection is going wrong ??

Thanks

Ronan

Is this the TV or an external soundbar thing?

I used a similar set of CyberAcoustic PC speakers for a long while.

I'd guess that something on the pcb is shagged. Can you take it
apart easily and check for burned/exploded components?

Yep...works perfectly then all of a sudden bass drops out...it's only a nagging problem but just don't know why it happens

Guess not then. No dial to set when the sub takes over from the sats.

Something heating up and failing.
Dodgy solder joint or component?

Time for a hoke around the sales...

Christ I didn't know alba still existed, I was bought one of those nasty 80s alba music systems when I was a sprog, all plastic and flashing lights

Same as this except black

GD...i must admit i approached Alba with trepidation and knew that i could return it no questions asked to Argos....but in reality it's been a revelation...would be lost without it...and i am very OCD when it comes to sound.

I am as tight as a gnat's chuff and even our cheap TV is made by DigiHome (a Curry's brand) but it has a top class picture...though crap sound...therefore the sound system.

Took the subwoofer apart but couldn't see any problem with it.....no big deal...just have to get off my big fat ass to turn it on/off when the bass disappears...but then that might be my New Years weight loss resolution sorted !!
