Phone going off for no reason

It's happened a couple of times now, Ill be minding my own business when my phone will start going. It's not a ringtone I would ever have set for anything that matters, I know all the ring tones I've set and this is not one ! I have no idea why, not a call and not a text message or e-mail  I've looked at the phone while it's going and it gives me no clue as to what is going on! I've been through the settings and can't find any reason for it, any ideas ?

and I can't switch it off when it's going, I have to wait for it to finish itself.

Battery level?

ToDo note?

"You've bought a mingebag model" reminder tone?

Try updating the firmware?

Battery level - over 90% at the time

ToDo note - I have alarms set but none of them have this tone and they always tell me what it's about and let me switch the darn alarm off !

Mingebag Model - Possibly... at least it's not a rip off fruit phone :Giggle:

My phone also goes off for no reason. It's usually my mother.

Earlier Samsung phones had a sound that occurred when the radio signal changed but other than that, I assume nothing is in the notifications?

Can you describe the sound or find anything online to resemble it?

It's a ringtone, I'll have to go through them to find it. No reason for it, no notifications, texts, calls, e-mails or anything ! It seems to be quite random but the tune is the same. I must be missing something :rubchin:

When someone is tracking your phone there's a warning tone.

I think I did !

I finally found a setting I hadn't seen before, it's the warning that you're running out of data allowance. For some reason the shop I bought the phone from did not set it even though I remember them asking how high I would like it set. I was getting a warning after only 5Mb and every 5Mb after that rather than the first warning at 495Mb of data used. No random goings off since I adjusted the setting to 495Mb.

Would have been nice if there had been some sort of warning on the screen telling me what the flippin ringtone meant.

No, the download limit warning had just been set way too low? (5Mb)
