Graphics cards

Wioth GTA5 coming out, I only just managed to resist splurging out on a new graphics card that had it as a freebie.

Typically, my graphics card has now bit the bullet, 3 days after buying GTA5 separately.
First time I've had a GFX failure. Not sure whether GTA5 was straining it, but it failed at start up rather than while running hot.

So now I need to buy a graphics card anyway. Think I'll be nipping to Stoke after work and buying this:

Unless anyone can advise me that I shouldn't.

Haven't done this for a while, but the old rule was that you only bought what was necessary to run the game at the resolution of your screen and a frame rate that is perceptible to the human eye. Depends on the resolution of your monitor: if you have 4k with all the effects on, you might want a 980. If you have a 1920 x 1024, then a 660 will do 50 Hz easily.

Remember that the top end card now will be 50% off next year.
