Humax PVR Freeview tuning issue...

I have the above box, many years of trouble free viewing, but......

I did a retune the other day and the ITV channel has locked onto the East Yorkshire/Lincs transmitter and the signal is poor and breaking up.

My local transmitter is Emley Moor, I can see it from the top of my street.

The questions are:

Can I make the Human box select Emley Moor?

Why does it latch onto a transmitter further away from me?

We've got a Humax. I remember getting a choice of areas because we're so close to the border, but not of transmitter.

Apparently you can if you do a manual tune though: Transmitters « My Humax Forum

Got that as well, have to turn to that when the signal breaks up but don't like the EPG.😁

Did that, it didn't work. I will have another go.

Humax customer support is very good, VB.

Obviously it's Sunday today but if you can't get it sorted I'm sure they'd be able to point you in the right direction tomorrow.

Yes Max, I've dealt with Humax customer support in the past, very good.

But my issue is easily sorted by re-tuning, it needs doing several times until my Humax latches onto the Emley Moor transmitter, so it's not a great inconvenience.

I was hoping someone knew of a technical short cut.

Succes, retuned the box early this morning and finally latched onto my local transmitter.

Perseverance is the key.

Our Digi box is a Humax, no problems in 6yrs of ownership using both Astra satellites.

I really do wish though I still had my Techonomate receiver and that directional rotating 1 metre dish:
