If you use a laptop for work, what do you lug it round in? I currently use an ordinary rucksack but I have other stuff in there too.

What I'm looking for is some sort of purpose made rucksack. There are loads on amazon so I'm after suggestions.

Victorinox or Crumpler.

Can't skimp on it. Needs to be comfortable.

I sometimes switch back to my old briefcase style
if traveling for 1 night and need a change of
clothes too.

If it's just for carrying around on site then I have a fairly bog standard laptop bag in a ruck sack format, but if I need to carry more stuff or for longer journeys I have a JanSport rucksack with a compartment for laptops or iPads which is mine rather than a company purchase.

Office Chair.

Bog standard laptop bag. Right PITA lugging it about though mostly from the car to the office is not too bad.
I'm trying to decide whether to give it back and just have a desktop. I can do most home working with an iPad. Maybe buy my own laptop at a push, does not need to be high spec.

Any I'm going off topic. Do you really need a laptop?

It took me years to get a laptop and remote access. I'm not giving it up now.

I think I need to go to an actual shop and look at the things.

I used to have one of those and because I walk with the laptop for at least 50 minutes a day, it became a right pain in the.... shoulder, so I got a bright green rucksack and used that for a bit.

My latest laptop came with an HP rucksack, so I use that now, there is space for my diary, various winter accessories (hat, gloves, brolly), also powerpack and lead when I need to take those and when I am away from home, I can fit a change shoes in there too.

I use a Swiss gear rucksack. It's solid and about 10 years old, not much wear, generally always got a fair bit of weight in it. Laptop, tablet, phone, chargers, 2 or 3 note pads, bottle of something on the side parts, useless cables, headphones, spare pens and USB drives.

I looked at some of the newer versions though, build quality seems to have dropped
