Kindle Fire HD now deceased.

I've been having battery problems with my Kindle for a while, there is another thread somewhere. Anyway, tried to charge it yesterday while it still had 17% left in the battery. I left it on charge overnight, went to it this morning expecting the usual 25% to 45% after 14 hours on 'fast' charge I found that instead of having more charge, the battery has completely discharged.

I'm not even going to try to get the battery changed as it has been such a PITA for so long I could happily throw it in the canal sometimes. Fortunately I managed to get myself a good deal on an ipad mini at TDWSNMUMD

Goodbye Kindle Fire, you were with me about 2 years and gave me nothing but trouble I will not miss you.

I would be tempted to contact Amazon, their customer services have been excellent in my dealings with them. Its an electrical gadget that any reasonable person would expect years of service from.

My Panasonic TV broke, out of guarantee, a few years ago but Panasonic agreed to pay for 75% of the repair costs, worth a go, for the cost of an e-mail.
