So whilst in the US I popped into a Fry's electronics store
to blow some of my Las Vegas winnings.
One thing I'd been searching for was a way to transfer photos
from my Nikon 1 to any messaging apps on my phone.
What I found was the Gigastone Smartbox.
It's smaller than a fag packet and is basically a WiFi
hotspot with a built in SD card reader. You can also
use it's battery to charge other devices.
There is an app to configure and access it (Google play)
but you can also just use a web browser to upload/download
file to/from the SD card.
So far so good. Very happy with it.
You can even configure it as a WiFi repeater so as to access
the internet and SD card at the same time.
Only $35 too.
