Hmmm New Phone

I want a new phone.

Can't be bothered to look myself.

Criteria:
  • Dual SIM support
  • Front & Back cameras
  • <4" screen
  • Apps available:
    • Audible
    • TuneIn
    • A good offline GPS app

Hit me.

Blackberry Passport or Q10 with virtual sim?

BlackBerry acquires Movirtu; company allows one device to have business and personal number

No idea how it actually works, but this would give you the physical keyboard as well.

Quite taken buy the Asus Zenphone 4.

But a couple of poor reviews, especially concerning battery life.

So there's a newer one the 450CG version.
And they've made it bigger (4"->4.5") FFS

Sony M2 Dual is in the running....

It seems the dual sim requirement limits you massively. Could you remove the requirement with some sort of call forwarding solution instead?

No. Orange Business randomly cancels call-forwarding every couple of weeks.

Now I've had a dual SIM phone I will never go back.
It gives a lot of flexibility and coverage.

In the end, they all seem to suffer from the same issue: Too damn big.

Okay some ideas while surfing this morning:

Wiko Goa (Not much different to what I already have. Better battery life.)

Sony M2 Dual

And the surprise additiona is from Alcatel. (Now a chinese owned brand)
The OneTouch Idol 2 mini and Idol 2 S mini look very interesting...

Also if anyone is looking for a tiny phone they do a OneTouch Pop Fit
which is miniscule. (Single SIM, no front camera.)

The Asus Zenfone 4 doesn't get very good reviews mostly due to low battery life.

Got a couple of m2 (not dual sim) in work, had half an hour with them setting them up for people, seemed zippy enough and well made

Just ordered an Asus Padfone mini PF400CG 8Gb. From Carrefour of all places.

Comes with a free 7" tablet it plugs into.

What swung it for the Asus Padfone Mini? some may ask.

Actually the size of the handset:
124.42 x 61.44 x 6.3-11.2 mm

I think the pad can be used to charge the phone too!

Do far it's a nice little solid phone.

Responsive, and i like Asus' ZenUI.

The only issue seems to be battery life.
A poor standby time and alarming drop
of battery whilst in use.

The bigscreen dock battery could offset
this as it charges the phone when you
slip it into the sleeve.

It's possible one of the 2 system updates from
Asus that have installed may improve things.

Yup.

I paid 249.

They asked me to review it so I went on their website and saw the price drop.
