Loading windows onto a netbook

I have HP netbook with a dead hard drive. If I fit a new hard drive, how do I get windows on it when it has no cd-tom drive?

Only option is if they will send a disc out and you share one over home network, or you're probably looking at dodgy options. Or see if MS can help... Unlikely but always worth a try. Dell send one disc but don't know about HP.

Can you get a local tech shop to build you a hard drive with windows installed on it, and then fit it into the HP?

If you show them your licence key, buy the new HD from them and donate them the old drive they may not even charge you for the effort.
