iPhone 5C

Ive had it for a few months now and its good, better than the terrible Samsung GIO i had. But one thing im really surprised is the storage space.
When i bought it i thought its a 16GB there is no way for me to top it and now everyday it tells me i dont have enough storage so i cant update my phone

It doesnt really bother me not to update it at the moment but its something that needs to be done and i dont like the idea of moving things over to my laptop and deleting them on the phone just to make up some storage space.

And playing around in the settings made me realize that the phone doesnt have 16GB available. Instead it only has 13GB

My iphone 4s has the same problem, unless you run itunes through your phone you should have enough memory.

I have an ipad and two ipods for my music.

why do you need a thousand photos on your phone.

Download the 1000 photos to your computer, thus freeing up storage on your cheapskate phone (), then when you're bored take some more photos

Still not as bad as the Samsung offerings... some of them have over 50% of the storage taken up by pre-programmed carp... although you can typically add more storage unlike an I-phone...

If its not enough then buy the bigger versions.

Videos can be fun. I have plenty when doing silly and stupid things with friends

Got 16gb on my iPad (whichever was the first one with the 'ickle connector), got it the same time as a 'phone upgrade, oddly enough the 'phone had 64gb of storage (and that was Xmas 2012).

My ipad has 64GB so everything is transferred to that for storage so my iphone stays free.

32gb iPhone here - I just move stuff on and off it - don't see the need for it to be a full back up for my computer - have three hard drives for that so have three cloned, bootable copies.

I guess what I am saying is there is no reason not to update it as you can always release memory by taking music/videos off, update and then put some back afterwards - Yes?

But wouldnt that be a hassle?

Got a warning earlier today. I have now officially got zero space in my phone. I was taking a video in the afternoon with my mates when we were going off road with me friends Suzuki Samurai and it wouldnt let me take any more videos.
I now have to move my stuff over on the laptop so i clear some space on the phone. And then update it too.

Just tried to to back up my stuff now. It shows me that all my pics are mixed with the videos and they are in two separate folders

Is that normal?

How do you guys back up your stuff?

I've still got my old 32gb 3GS, does a Stirling job, has almos my entire music collection on it(just notice 'kind of blue' is missing Grrrrrrrrrrrr), want to upgrade, but whereas everywhere else an extra 16gb of ram is less than 20, apple delight in charging 200+. Gits
