Hi,

A new piece of malware has been in the wild for a few weeks now and is gathering pace, it encrypts your files and holds them to ransom.

If you have any important files (business or personal) I'd be looking at backing up to an external drive and/or turning on shadow copy as a minimum. At least that way, should you get infected you won't lose data. If you don't get infected then at least you'll have a backup (if using an external anyway) of your files should your drive decide it's lived it's life out and stop without warning.
