Looks like it's the time of year for new cameras! My old Olympus C-765 (aka "the battery-eater") was getting rather long in the tooth & my "throwaway" Canon A1300 is very limited in what it can do, so I had no problem in justifying a new camera.
For the amount of photography I do I can't justify an SLR, so it's a "bridge" camera for me. Wanting a camera with a viewfinder & powered by AA batteries my choice was limited to Fuji & Pentax; I've bought a Pentax X-5.
Now, the real purpose of this post, memory cards. I swear by Sandisk, but it does appear that there are some fakes around. I've bought 16gb Extreme for £15.47 from Amazon.
The plural of "anecdote" is not "data".
