Gyro Stabilized 4K camera

Was sent this by an old work colleague. If you're into video read the blurb, if you're not just sit back and stick the video on full screen.

the only problem is....how do we see how great it is on our HD screens?

it was fantastically stable, but isn't that the case with most HD footage from aircraft now?

i'm not being unappreciative, just curious how this magic tech affects us with the equipment we presently have!?

Give it a year and 4K will be the next big thing, the Sky football lot are already thinking about it.
I've seen a fair bit of 4k and it's incredible.

It's going to be interesting, but I wonder about storage? It's ironic that everyone in broadcast talks of being "file based" and "tapeless" yet here we have two data tape storage library's full of 1000's of tapes and a corridor full of them too. And that is just with a mix of SD and HD at 20Mbps and I-frame only 50Mbps. Not to mention in an environment like this that broadcasts across territories multiple language files for most of the video.

That said a few years back I saw an NHK ultraHD demo with 22.2 surround sound
