I suppose everyone is sorted now

It's sad but I can't take advantage of this as I run CS6 full suite.

Em...well bout exactly free. It's only for legit owners that have to reinstall for whatever reason.

There's nothing to stop you installing it though.only your morals

Did everyone use real or throw away email addresses for your adobe id?

Ha ha. And Adobe are full of morals in the UK, we pay 30% more per a licence!

TBH I pay for a full suite of CS6.

Ha, don't need to defend yourself to me. I always feel software is very overpriced.

I think some manufactures could successfully adopt the 'app' style of pricing. Software for a few pounds but shifting massive amounts through downloads.

That's what Apple did with last few versions of os and windows are doing the same.

But DTP / Digital money making programmes will never be cheap.

I did think windows 8 was more reasonably priced that previous distributions. I haven't bought 8 as before it came out I started tinkering with different linux distributions and don't really need the upgrade.

Didn't need to do any of the above.

Just went to the other site that was posted and downloaded everything.

However,

http://forums.adobe.com/message/4974662#4974662

Either way, it's certainly got people talking about Adobe, put them in the limelight and exposed possibly 100's of thousands of new users to the product...

I haven't even tried previously, seeing it as a sign of weakness.

Not sure I follow. Is the site only for owners of the software or Adobe has decided to make it free since it's quite old anyway?

You've got it. It's only for owners but the world has stumbled upon it and misinterpreted it (possibly on purpose).
