Help HELP!!! How can I undo what I have done

Hopefully someone can guide me here, as I am a berk . . . .

Set the scene. Bought Denon DNP720AE network streaming machine as I have been slowly ripping my CD's (in WAV format) to my Seagate Black Armour NAS220 NAS drive. The Denon could see the NAS but not any of the stuff on it. I read that the IP was to be static (NOT DHCP) so changed this in the NAS drive settings, noting the static IP of the drive address as I did so . . . . . GONE!! Vanished. Computers can't see it either so I now can't change the settings back either . . . So what I am asking is this.

Is there a program out there that will 'search' for my missing peripheral, thus allowing me to go back in and change the settings back which then undoes my stupidity and allows me access to the extensive work put in so far.

Really annoyed with myself

This is exactly the sort of thing that happens to me...
A few things to try:
Type the ip address into an ie browser, rather than waiting for it to show up on the network.
Power both off and turn on again in sequence. Then try it again.

Things usually turn out ok, but you may need someone more knowledgeable than me...

Alas tried that, but thanks anyway . Even opened the NAS discovery software installed on the computer to no avail as it just doesn't see the drive at all - I even hit the reset button on the back. I am sure there is a solution but now I am panicking a bit . . . . . . . . .
Bit like when waking up with a raging hangover - 'when will I ever learn . . . . . . '

First mistake, you bought a Blackarmour NAS, but we'll move on from there.

Did you give the NAS an IP in the same subnet as your network?

What is the NAS IP?
What is your computer IP?

This is an excellent scanning tool.

Got it going now - somehow . . . . . . . Won't be doing that again in a hurry! Thanks everyone

Anyway - still doesn't explain why the Denon doesn't see the music files stored on it. Any suggestions?

As a test, try some mp3 files. I have a couple of different boxes and they each find different file types at different times.

Well it's now working as it should. There is a Music Server in the Seagate . . .BUT you have to update the firmware and then go into the software and activate the music server. Bit of a PITA but now done thankfully. Thanks everyone for your input and assistance.
I'm getting the bug for my music again, although not as good as my original serparates with turntable it's all sounding pretty good.
The Denon DNP720AE server, through Cambridge DacMagic, Cambridge 840A amp, Energy Encore speakers and Tannoy TS1201 sub. Still thinking of swapping the Denon out for a Cambrisge NP30. Anyone have experience of both and what was your verdict??
