Transferring Android apps

Quick question for all you phone gurus - if you have an Android Phone and you upgrade to a newer Android phone, is it possible to transfer all the paid-for apps across from the old to the new phone and if so, how? Thanks!

Go to privacy settings and check that 'Backup my settings' is ticked along with 'Automatic restore'.
Then under 'Accounts and sync' > 'Google' - make sure all items are ticked, then click on 'Sync now'.

Then, once you log into the Play Store on your new phone, you old apps will be downloaded. This may not happen immediately, but it will happen.

Failing that go to Play Store Online and manually push them back to your phone.

You can also just go to "My Apps" in the Store and you will see a list of every App you have ever downloaded and download them anew from there.

Yes, but only via the 'Play Store Online' link above.
You can no longer do this in the Play Store on your phone though. That option was removed in the latest version.
It will now only show apps that you currently have installed, so not exactly helpful on a brand new phone.

Really? What's the latest version? I have 3.7.15 and it shows all the apps I have ever downloaded. There are 2 options in the "My Apps" screen, "Installed" and "All".

That's on my phone.

Aaah, sorry, you are correct. I've just checked mine and they have reinstated that feature.
It was dropped on the previous version. I guessed they would bring it back as people complained about it.

I had to do this after my phone was memory flashed.
