Motorola RAZR

Just curious really; are they any good?

I had a clam shell RAZR many years ago and loved it. When I saw that a smartphone RAZR had been launched, especially as it was made of kevlar, it caught my attention and I wanted to check them out. I have looked in several large mobile phone shops and have not been able to find one, so was wondering, have Motorola fallen out with the phone shops or have they had problems. Whats happened to them?

I don't know if they're any good or not. My first few phones were Motorolas and I liked them but they hit a sticky patch. They seem to have improved of late but I didn't consider them when I got my HTC 7 Pro because I was after the Windows OS. That said, e2save where I got mine from are offering it (they're part of the Carphone Warehouse, as are mobiles.co.uk) but as for high street shops if that's what you're referring to, I don't know as I've not been looking for it there lol.

I've looked in two or three carphone warehouses for it (amongst others), nothing.

I do really like the look of this phone, but like you would want to check it out first! My only concern is that in the reviews online it looks absolutely MASSIVE!

According the page link given above, the phone measures 131mm x 69mm x 7mm, which is indeed pretty massive!

It's a big phone but really nice. I'd be tempted if I hadn't bought my iPhone 4s.

My colleague says the battery is really bad (half the time of my not exactly great phone) & having seen the pics it produces, they're not a patch on my iPhone or my wife's older 4.

Sexy as hell though

You should try the battery life on the Sensation, very poor.

Still browsing through the phone shops; it's not just the RAZR thats missing but Motorola generally, it's almost as though they are being boycotted.

My MRS has one, its all I ever hear about, although she was the one that wanted it! barely lasts a day now.

Ill stick to iPhone, yes I'm a fan boy!.

Razr is stocked by CarPhone Warehouse and sister Co E2Save.

Oh to have the choice lol! Every time i see a phone i like the look of online i go to a shop to check it out and find its not available due to Apples ongoing patents suits that the German courts seem to like!
I managed to get an Galaxy S2 after it was withdrawn and then came back on sale again. But currently can't receive my mac mail on it due to Motorola suing Apple in Germany over push email patent infringements lol! The courts ordered a halt to all Apples cloud services in Germany!
That said, for a phone that has been available for 9 months (so practically out dated already) it's blooming marvellous! Much better than my prev iP4 and HTC!

Razr does look sexy though!
