I have a Viofo A119S which has performed well over the last couple of years.

I've got a mini 0805 for about 3 years but the image quality isn't great, seems to be worse now than it was, I'm considering replacing it.

I've been looking at reviews of the Viofo A129 recently & it seems well regarded. Sony Starvis sensor front & rear, HD vid quality looks good for the money.

Finally binned the Eprance/0805 after nearly 5 years of service and one battery swap.
It was just tired and needed a new battery again.

Got one on these:

No screen. Uses WiFi to set up. nice and slim.

Image qual isn't as good as Eprance.

But voice activated photo snapping is a nice touch.

And it's not got a battery. Just has a capacitor to give it enough juice
to shut down when the ignition is switched off.

Thinking of trying a battery swap on my mini 0805, where did you get the battery, a quick search on ebay for 502035 3.7V battery only provides ones located in China https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-7V-300m...YAAOSwVVlcpbYX

The free dashcam with 2 Michelin tyres offer at Kwik Fit just ended. I had considered it but resigned myself to the thought I am more likely to feature in footage than produce it.

If/when I do get one it will be good as I've seen too much rubbish footage. I also don't want to turn into one of the inept and shouty YouTube road captains whose general standard is worse than the stuff they film.
