Android TV Box Wireless Mouse Help

We have a M8s android TV box which i have a wired mouse connected to it...just the same sort of mouse any PC has....works fine...but the 9ft cable is a bit of an eyesore.

I have seen lots of bog standard wireless mice with the plug in USB dongles that can be used on PCs....however they don't mention Android compatibility.

Do these mice need to be specific to Android or can i just use any old wireless mouse as long as it has the 2.4GHz connectivity.

Btw there is no bluetooth on my TV box.

Example : www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/mice-and-keyboards/mice/advent-amwl-13-wireless-optical-mouse-21322558-pdt.html

Would this work ?

They should look like standard USB peripheral so no problem for android.

I prefer a mini keyboard with laptop style mousepad.

Recently got this cheap micro sized one after dropping the old one once too many times:

Range is a bit limited but ok for my use.

Thanks...have to admit i am a bit OCD and just prefer really simple old school mice..those thousands of buttons would kill me...something i am used to....sends my peanut of a brain into a spin if i encounter change....what a freak

Might just purchase the cheapest open locally today and try it out.

Thanks again.

Yes, any USB wireless mouse should suffice. For a TV system you might be better off with a trackball.
