Python

Anyone use python seriously?

Been looking at it recently.

Running the SoloLearn android app
which is good for basic syntax etc.
Also picked up "An Introduction To
Machine Learning" published by O'Reilly.

That talks about running Jupyter Notebook
but I think I'm going to scav a PC, throw a linux
on it and use that to play around.

Any advice on versions etc?
I guess I need scikit-learn and scipy & numpy libs.
Along with panda and matplotlib.

Others ... ?

Thanks!

I guess if you are new to it, it is worth just jumping directly to 3.6.

Many people are still on 2.7, however they will eventually migrate, as will most of the packages I would expect.

I just use Anaconda, it has so many of the needed libraries already loaded that it's untrue! I use a mixture of jEdit and Spyder, depending upon what I need at the time in terms of terminal operability.

It's against forum rules not to post an English translation.

Got Ubuntu 16.04 up and running.

Anaconda looks like it has everything
as a 1-stop-shop so thanks WB!
