building up to building a new PC

I've spent weeks and weeks, searching for a new PC. I spent ages debating whether or not to buy a pre-build, or to go down the components/self-build route.
By last night, I'd come up with my dream self-build.

Today I put an order in for this:

Maybe next year.....

Dunno about Hotpoint but my last self-build sounded like a Hoover I did a self build when the price of components was a lot lower than pre-built. Unless you are after a gaming monster I don't see the margin in it these days. That said I am pretty much just browser-based stuff these days.

Aye -- I ended up having to appease the wifey...It's a new oven, rather than a PC

I've spent weeks pricing stuff up, I reckon I can build something that's easily as powerful as a pre-built 1k gaming PC, for about 33% less.

However, it's now a moot point...the wife won.
