Camera repairs

Just sent my Sony camera to DK AVS Ltd for repair. Excellent service, quick turnround and fair pricing. Can highly recommend their services.

Not something I'd think of doing, ashamed to say I'd probably bin it and buy another

Thanks for the reminder, need to charge the battery on mine for tomorrow

Office Chair.

They don't mention Nikon. There was a local repair specialist near where I work in Oldham whom I've used many times but he retired last Christmas. Looking out for one in the North West just in case.

The lens on LizR's Canon (EOS 600 I think) packed up when she dropped it - autofocus died.

Quite honestly buying a secondhand one (lens) for 40 was the cheapest option.

If all else fails have a go yourself.

Seriously, the lens mechnaism on my Panasonic TZ-8 jammed up, and following a guide on the internet I was able to strip it down, clean it and reassemble.

It was very fiddly to do but it now works again.

If you get to the point where you have little to loose I would say it is a good option.

Not an option for me, it is a travel zoom - not interchangeable.
