Mobile Phone Wifi problem

As above

Moto G....have my son's old phone now....everything working perfectly but he had a lot of rubbish on it...so i did a factory reset which i have done on a lot of phones with no bother.

This one started again no problem except one thing....it refuses to show our home Wifi but will show others around the neighbourhood....every other phone in the house shows our home Wifi and works perfectly but not this one....before the factory reset it showed it

What have i done wrong ??

Router has been turned off and on numerous times and even did a cache reboot as a solution...but no luck

Any takers ??

Can you add the network manually? Hit the 3 dots in the top right of the WiFI settings screen.

Now this comment may be no use at all (it's a talent I have) but...

I had the same problem on a laptop. I found the default was still set to a previous network, which for some reason screwed the authentication process. I have no idea if you can set a default network on a phone, but if you can then that might be it.

You are welcome, ronan. It was touch and go whether to post here or on the Thread of Complete Woo Woo. And of course, if you want better reception, bake your phone in the oven at 220 degrees while stirring goats' entrails.
