Full CPU usage on Firefox

Something about this site now breaks my copy of Firefox, initially v10.0.2 and also after upgrading to v11.0. It will use 25% CPU on a quad core machine, wait for about 30 seconds, and then deliver the page - once displayed it works OK. After a few page loads it may crash.

It's only this site, and only when logged in. I haven't worked out what the difference is yet.

It's not Flash-related as far as I know, because it's Firefox itself and not plugin-container.exe.

IE9 seems OK.

Any thoughts?

That's strange. Are you getting any other errors that you can possibly send me a screen shot of?

There were a bunch of warnings in the Javascript console, but nothing stood out. That and the crashes.

I'm using the same browser at work (v11) and no trouble there.

I'll have another play when I get home and see if I can figure anything out - very possibly a local problem, but definitely only this site.

Found it.

In the 'about:config' options, javascript.options.strict was set to true. This makes Firefox log JS errors to the console. Maybe there are so many things wrong that it just plain blows up?
