As an attachment to a post?

If so, chances are its because the file is too large.

Copy and paste the error message here and all will be revealed.

not as an attachment to post. I want to upload it to the gallery. It was taken on my phone so idk if it would be too big.

In that case, as far as I know any image file (jpg, jpeg, bmp, gif, png) is fine and size isnt an issue.

Are you trying to upload it straight from your phone? You may need to transfer it to your pc first... but thats just a guess.

I am uploading it from a mac. I just got one of them to upload after resizing. I assue a mod has to ok it before it appears then. Is that how it works?

erm... possibly.

In the 'accepted file types' link thing on the gallery uploader it lists file types and sizes, they all look pretty small but apparently need to be adhered to

If you use windows and google 'image resizer powertoy' you will find a neat little program that gives you the option to resize images in the right-click menu
