Stuck as a guest

I am guessing I just need removed from the Guest membership group and added to Member membership group. But since registering I have been showing as a Guest. it's not a massive deal except can't edit my typos etc.

I may have the same issue. Been a premio member for months. Haven't posted much but now at about 15 to 25 posts. Just saw this thread. Tried to bump in another and got the tech message about deleting bumps and so on. No problem there. But why am I still a guest? My car should arrive next month!

Hmmm, I had an issue with my password months ago shortly after joining - not remembering... I posted in a guest thread above because I still come up as guest. I thought I submitted a ticket via the contact us form, but that just cleaned up my bump experiment wondering about post counts. I have 25 posts and paid for a premio membership. I am still listed as guest, n/a post count and no avatar or signature line. All properly loaded on my cp. My car should arrive next month so please activate my status! Cheers!

Did you register using tapatalk? I did and that is probably the root of the issue

lotok raised this issue in November last year. And his/her issue is still not resolved.

It is still happening for new users.

The fact that lotok still posts here is a miracle and the fact that lotok is still trying to provide feedback for the problem is just un-efing-believable. (thanks lotok, we mods appreciate your feedback)

Thanks Halibut. And some of us have PAID for a Premio membership. And that pays for what? All I have really gotten is quick and reliable deletions and PMs from a certain Admin Helper with a snarky "hot model" avatar in response to negligible stuff, but absolutely NO help for the actual question at hand. The only one to come close is Admin_Support by the responses above but that apparently is taking more than one business day. I do have proof that my avatar and status load properly, but that is in a quarantined "content wrapper" page specially prepared for solving this bug at the Alfa Romeo Forum level it seems. Or we can hope.

Agreed! I'm part of the 'we', this has been going on way too long. I've brought Lotok's problem forward to admin since the beginning, almost a year ago. I hope this matter is finally fixed. Looks bad for the forum

Fergus, "notified" is nice and all, but what can we expect as a result? As I indicated, I can see my profile somehow displays properly in this "content wrapper" page. The trend that doesn't seem to be shifting is the kind of "if you have questions, ask admin support" type of responses to PMs, moved posts, and deleted posts, all about forum and membership problems. How many time do we have to ask before someone actually lifts a finger and does something? I'm getting cranked up here, but only after 5 months of wondering. I am doing just fine over at Giuliaforums.com. I've gotten and given a lot of help and learned a ton. I was hoping I could learn more about the Alfa community and other historic cars over here. If we need to make a new profile, so be it. If "corrupted usernames" are banned or blocked somehow, let us know. This isn't rocket science, not that I would have much trouble following if it were

Only Admin_Support can contact the Tech Team to get issues resolved. Unfortunately the rest of the AO Staff (Mods, Regional Support etc) can only help by highlighting these issues to Admin_Support.

As for Admin Helper, you only get an automated message from that account if posts have been moved, merged or deleted (usually duplicates) etc. by AO Staff. These posts would probably usually only have been moved etc so that they are either in a more appropriate thread or in a location where they will be seen by Admin_Support.

BTW it might be helpful to say how you signed up to AO John_K, as mentioned it seems that many but not all of the accounts associated with the "Guest" issue signed up with Tapatalk, is that how you signed up ?

Hopefully your account issues are soon resolved.

Looks like 5 days later we are far from being fixed.

lotok and John_K_348 as well as other users are still trapped in 'Guest' limbo.

I suggest that there is some rapid 'pulling out of fingers' required.
