Hi Tess,

I am very interested and it will be my first event i just have a few questions. Firstly does it matter that i only have a 95 mito? Is there an age limit? Can you bring a guest? And is any additional track day insurance required or avaliable? Im really interested.

Thanks

hiya hun

doesnt matter about the size of the engine at all, its just a fun day and not a race, i took my qv round last year, went on my own then with chris the instructor, what a difference, he shows you how to corner and how to get the best out of your car, amazing difference..

i suppose the age limit is over 18 but will check for you

you can bring as many guests as you want but it will only be you driving, bring a helmet too or you can hire one for about 20, and if you take a friend round they have to wear one too

you dont have to have insurance its entirely up to you, when you think that there are some 60,000+ cars going round the track i dont think anyone will be going mad, and if they do the marshalls are excellent and will get them off the track

the guys are really friendly and will take you round in their cars if you ask, enzo brought his ferarri last time and took my daughter round a few laps, dunno if he is bringing that again or his maser, both beautiful cars...

i will get andy to post some answers for you too, cos im hopeless and miss things out

look forward to seeing you, perhaps if you come you can meet up with Lisnik aka Nick and convoy over as he knows thw way, i will get him to message you

i am the mitomentalist

alfas dont break down...they stop to be admired

ok, i have asked andy, who is organising the day and is on here and the maser forum to contact you, i have left him a message so hopefully he will get it soon and either pm you with details or post them on here...

he is the one to pay and wants the money in asap so that the track is ours, it will just be us and the maser guys on the track, about 20 guys in all.....they let you on the track a few at a time, experienced, intermediary and newbies all go seperately first of all then in the afternoon we all mingle together, there will be loads of photos taken either to buy or download off this forum or maser forum, the photographers who come with us are excellent and there is also a professional on site too if he available

if andy hasnt contacted you by, say, thursday let me know and i will pm him again for you

will be fab to meet you...i will post up meet points nearer the date or put you in touch with Nick.....the maser guys usually leave magor services around 8.30am as you have to register and stuff around 9.30am

andy can tell you more....

Thanks Tess.......

Hi Mito01,

Tess has answered your questions but just to recap......

Its a safe well run day and any car is welcome no matter what you drive. Its about driving within you limits and having fun. Its a gentlemans track day so all are well behaved.

I believe you have to be 18 with a full UK driving licence which you need to show on the day..Both parts.

Yes guest are welcome....Not charge for a guest.

As Tess has said track day insurance is up to you..Some do and some don't...You have to decide if you want to take that risk but so far I have never had anyone bang their pride and joy in the 3 years I have organised the Sports Maserati track day.....Your choice though.

Its 81 for the full day which is very cheap and payment can be made by chepue or bankers draft...You can pay by paypal but if its on a credit card they charge for the transfer so you need to add 1.50..

If you are interested send me a PM and I will give you details of how to pay....

Its a great day and a safe day as anyone on here will tell you......

Cheers, Andy.

Hi All, sorry for the late reply.

Hi Andy i am defiantly going to come. if you could PM me details on how to pay that would be great, i will probably pay by paypal.

Hi Nick, i'm up for meeting before hand with you and the maser guys, just give me a time and place closer to the date. (I'm assuming it will be at Magors)

Thanks Tess for getting me in contact with everyone and sorting me out. I'm really looking foward to it.

Thanks Everyone

Last two times we've met at Magor services for 8 am, gives us plenty of time for the drive over, is there no one else up for this brilliant day?

Nope sorry I've only recently got some lovely new tyres fitted and I don't wanna trash 'em just yet - I'll have to wait till they're down near to the legal limit before I attend another track day. (Llandow being an extra sticky track seems to shred tyres pretty darn quickly). Besides I need that re-map if I'm gonna want to keep up with your new v6 Nick.

I am very interested in this but the spider needs cambelt service and the brakes on the 33 are non existent at the mo so would have to get one or the other sorted first.

Oh yeah, I loved going out with Andy at Llandow. Now I don't get scared driving fast, but going 110+mph with him in his GTV on that track, had the potential to be terrifying. Loved the way that thing was glued to the ground (even with baldish tyres). Made me realise my car isn't fast enough though. This is very tempting though.

Sorry Tess, can't make any promises - not sure what I'll be doing then (moving house/job soon y'see). If I do go I might hitch a ride with Nick in his v6 But like I said, no promises!
