Exhaust Fabricator in South Scotland

Anybody know of a Exhaust fabricator in Lanarkshire / N, E, S Ayrshire ?

My 159 front flexi pipe, between the Cat and Mid Silencer is knackered and has started to look like a swiss cheese.

I have had quotes to purchase a new one from the Dealers, but all quotes are over £290.00 + Gasket + VAT

I cannot find an aftermarket brand that makes this pipe, due to the few 1.8 MPI's / 1.9 JTS that are around, as the front pipe is the same fro both cars.

Looking to have one made based on what is fitted.

I think you might have a problem. Any quotes I've had in the past have been from 'Flexi' back.
You could try these guys http://www.longlife.co.uk/ I know they have a place in Ayrshire. I've used them a few years back for a SS system on my 156.

I used these guys to fit a ragazzon exhaust to the GT and make an egg shaped alloy round again.

I'm due to use Elite Custom Exhausts | About Us
for a complete system for my Jeep. my Alfa Exhaust is fine

these guys in Ayr were recommended to me - however RMS have lost their shine in the past few years.

a further option in North Ayrshire (Kilbirnie) is Meercat Exhausts Home

both Elite & Meercat have been recommended - I settled on Elite, as they are local to my home and easier to leave the Jeep with them.

Good Luck

Simons Custom Exhausts in East Kilbride will do you a decent job as long as it doesn't include manifold manufacturing. He made me a manifold back, twin box system for my GTV a couple of years ago. His number is 01355 276507

Thanks for all of the replies.

Visited Elite and RMS and Meerkat.

Eventually have decided with Meerkat in Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire. Make very complicated race bike exhausts which is there bread and butter, but also exhausts for high end sports cars and drift cars.

They are going to make me a new front pipe in stainless steel and fit it, also a option of having the the mid silencer, rear S bend pipe and rear silencer replaced in 1 hit in the future in stainless steel, price supplied and fitted ( £290 ), but for the time being having the leaky front pipe done. ( £110.00 supplied and fitted ).

Current :
Alfa 159 1.8 Turismo Sport

Previous Owns :
2004 Alfa 147 1.9 16v Mjet.
2005 Alfa 156 SW 2.4 20v Mjet.
2001 Alfa 156 SW 1.8 16v Twinnie.
1996 Alfa 164 2.0 TS Super Lusso

Had the front exhaust pipe fabricated and fitted today by Meerkat Custom Exhausts in stainless steel. Nice tidy job. Only PITA was the undertray bolts where a pig for the fabricator to remove to gain access as where siezed again!

Many thanks to Meerkat Customs Exhausts in Kilbernie.

When the time comes, will have the mid silencer and rear pipe / rear silencer replaced in stainless steel with a lifetime gaurantee.

Does the exhaust that Meerkat quote for follow the original exhaust path or is it a straight pipe?

Front flexi pipe was replaced in 304 stainless steel as a front flexi ( Also in 304 Stainless ) pipe from the 3 holed flange from CAT to the mid silencer.

I've used Elite in Ayr for a few things and he put the bigger tips on the Giulietta, always been good quality and prices.

All this exhaust talk is making me wanting a louder one, must resist...
