Over the bridge tae Skye.

Well I finally did it.
Ah went hame tae ma(great) grannies heilan hame.

When my GGF left Skye wie nae troosers he hud tae sail .Over the sea frae Skye etc.

So Pomeo went awe the way there yesterday and back and never missed a beat.(An mair importantly never did a Stu the moose.or Pigfarmer or Mad Mike.or others.{Never self ignited.Well it was a hot day})

I knew I had arrived hame as the first thing I saw on crossing the bridge was "The Taste of India".Never went in as I had a real Manzil chicken Madras in the fridge awaiting scoffing.

But I think Pomeo's days may be numbered.

29 mpg over around 600 miles is a wee bit to much to bear.(No so bad filling at this end arron 130 but at 147.OUCH

However it was fun to get her auld V6 heart beating on a guid run instead of wee journeys all the time.

As she passed the test Alton Towers runs are well on the cards for her.Athough a swappage for a wee motur which returns 90mpg on all sorts of recycled rubbish may be on the cards.

Oh and I only saw 3 Alfas oot on the roads.Few and far between.

I would be prepared to spend the extra 17p per litre every now and then, rather than being nose-to-tail on the M1 in Beds. Sometimes its worth paying for the pleasure of a good ride.

But then again I can get 35+ mpg, when I can find a decent non-grid-locked route but I don't have the tuneful advantages of a V6.

Pleased to think you enjoyed your trip to the land of your GGGFathers.
