On the basis of if it wasnae fur yer wellies where would ye be.

If it wiznae fur the global warming..think how bloody cauld this cauld spell would be.

2 If the politicians hudnae spent as much money wie such success combatting global warming they could have afforded mair gritter and salt fur when the unexpected happens .

3 Newton for Furst Minister.Tae every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

On thinking aboot it..they huvnae combatted the global warning warming at all or Mother Nature has just reacted.

You're not allowed to call it Global Warming anymore. So much for vinyards and rain forrest. We end up with Ice tundra and polar bears :slaphead:

Reasons to be cheerful 7 -

Doors on the spider haven't frozen solid like they do most years. Grease and WD40 have actually worked.

And number 8 -

She doesn't want to drive in this weather, so I get to use her volvo. Which has a heater that works by the time I'm at the end of the street, rather than the alfa's, which isn't really hot until the time I get to work.

I'll give you a number 9, Pomeo.

Windscreen washer jets aren't frozen. Don't know how or why, as the road is covered in ice and the car was completely white. Normally the washers don't work below 10 degrees C (OK, slight exaggeration, but not by much)

I'm not DD, maybe it's divadiva?

The way my luck is right now, I can't even land a part in a virtual panto.

Things can only get better, as they say. Of course, we all know they're telling porkies.

What are we on now 11?

Anyway reasons to be cheerful - went out today to fix an electrical problem that had me lay the car up since before christmas with the battery disconnected. Connected up the battery, issued a couple of sweary words and a vieled threat of scrapage etc an hay ho the problem had fixed itself!

Ya beauty
