Xtreme Go-Karting Centre - Newbridge, Sunday 6th February 11am.

Continuing the very successfull AOS winter Go-Karting event meet and Italian meal.......I have booked the new Xtreme karting venue in Newbridge, which is due to open soon and be even better than the Falkirk centre.

It will be a slightly competative Mini GP event with prizes similar to last year with a practice session, 2 heats and then a final for everyone at a cost of £40-45 depending on numbers.

Meeting at the centre for 10-10.30, to get sorted and be in plenty time for the briefing.

This year instead of me taking the deposits, drivers will be able to pay Xtreme direct.

Please RSVP on here if your interested, and I'll put the link up to the site for payment when its available.

Dinomito and amclean were prize winners last year after a very tight final.

Italian restaurant for food afterwards to be confirmed, anyone with any recomendations nearby please let me know.

Come and enjoy the fun!

Hope to see you there.

Have a great Christmas and New Year.

Regards
Phili

Just to add that friends and family will be welcome as always.

We'll be getting some extra laps included free again, and apparently the website will allow us to register as drivers online too..... which saves a bit of time on the day filling out forms!

Philip, what time roughly do you finish at when you do the karting + meal. Just wondering because I really want to go but I also have to go to the *cough* saturdays *cough* gig that night so need to be back to glasgow for 7pm.

You should have plenty time for that Aimee, but dont feel you need to stay for the meal if you think you'll be pushed for time, likewise anyone just interested in or able to make the meal is more than welcome to join us!

Other option was 5-7pm as we did last year, but by the time we get finished and to an Italian it'll be a late night, so I went for an early slot this time with the hope of getting more interested in going for food somewhere afterwards.

Fabio's in Corstorphine is good and is about 2 or 3 miles away. Fabio's Restaurant - Italian Food, Corstorphine, Edinburgh.

There is a small car park round the back of the restaurant or you can park in the side streets just off the main road

Cool, well in that case count me in. Need to try improve my karting after my performence at Knockhill in September .

Do I just click the link above and pay for my place myself or do we pay on the day?

I'd spotted that one on a google search actually, could be perfect.
A bit closer than Livingston and easier for parking than South Queensferry.

I'm actually going to check about that, as I was thinking like previous years a deposit would do this far in advance.....and also if we get enough drivers the price per driver will go down a bit.

Only problem with Fabios is they dinnae open until 5pm. They'll maybe do us a special afternoon sitting if we make them an offer they can't refuse!

You may get a refund then if we get more than 17 drivers!

Waiting on a response to see if it can be set up to just take driver deposits.

We could maybe get a special wee prize or wooden spoon for the B final, that you 2 can go for then!

Xtreme provide a prize for the top 3 in the A final.

That could well be a hotly contested slot .

Unfortunately they cant set up the shop to do a deposit only option.
Price in the Xtreme shop is now £42.50 for 16-19 drivers, if we dont make that number which we should then it will be £45 and the extra can be paid on the day.

Similar to what we paid last year, but a longer track in a brand new facility.
