Sunday 13th March

As per the title, we'll meet up at a couple of locations and have a drive through the Kent and Sussex Countryside and finish up at the Vine Inn; Tenterden.

Meet Point #1
Meet at 08:00hrs at Notcutts Garden Centre in Maidstone, J7 off M20. Bearsted Road, Maidstone, ME14 5LH. Will be leaving at 08:30hrs, so plenty of time to get here.

Meet Point #2
Meet at 09:30hrs (approx) at Sainsburys Tunbridge Wells, Linden Park Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5Q. We will leaving at 10:00hrs. There is also an Esso petrol station nearby if anyone needs fuel, or use the Sainsburys garage.

There is no planned route for this one - just follow the person in front and bring a 2-way radio with the channel preset to #6.

We will headout through the countryside, down to Battle / Hastings, Winchelsea, Rye, Camber Sands, Brenzett, Appledore, Sissinghurst and Tenterden for the Pub.

There are a couple of stop off points for getting a Cuppa and use of the Loo etc. which will be taken care of as we go.

Please note that I will be hosting this one in my TT as the GTV is going up for sale and I don't want to be using it - saves me cleaning it again !!

I know a few people who come along regularly to my events that have a range of different cars, so feel free to either bring your Alfa or anything out of your collection that takes your fancy - I am not that precious about these things. It's more of getting together and enjoying a day out with a decent pub lunch at the end.

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Lynn, there is only one person who I trust to work on my car and that is Jamie O'Connell of GO Italia. I have been taking the GTV to him since 2012, and was one of his first customers with my old 156, when he setup back in 2009/10.

3) It will stop me having those winter thoughts, of should I get something different?
4) It sounds like "Aural" Pornography
5) I'd regret it
6) If I did want to get another one, it wouldn't be as good as mine (with all that's gone in)
7) The thought of someone buying it and Fing it up, disturbs me

As much as I enjoyed the precision of the Panzer during Sunday's drive out (with it's Sline Sports Seats).. I really missed not having the noise of the V6

There are still things that I hate about the GTV (in general)...

- Crap Seats (in terms of lateral support)
- Crap Cabin Storage
- Crap Turning Circle
- Crap Driving Position as it's too high (TT is very low and cossetted)

But despite these irritations of "crapness" it is completely forgiven for its...

- Looks / Stance / Uber Coolness
- Engine Bay (no plastic panel crap here, its all MEAT and 2-VEG)
- Wonderful Interior Design in that its quite Ferrari-esque with dials and switches etc.
- Please note I exclude seating in the above "wonderfulness"
- V6 + Ragazzon Roar and Howl is so sublime and main reason why I bought it
- I have the best Alloy Wheels (PH3)

Plus, there is nothing quite like these cars anymore... So, I take it on premise that is a 17 year old Alfa Romeo, that will need to be loved and pampered and cost me, probably more money than running x2 Teenage Daughters!!!

But, for 4-6 months of the year and around 800 miles ... It still gives me a BIG CHEESEY GRIN

Anyway... to all of you who have said to me "PAUL DO NOT SELL YOUR GTV!!!!"

I thank you kindly

Yes looking at GeffyB's GTV on Sunday made me realise even more why I won't sell mine, they just look and sound so great. Glad you are keeping it Paul what you are doing means you will have a concours V6. I just spent nigh on a 'bag of sand' on the Coupe (clutch, belts/tensioners, new lower arms etc. I like you want to keep my cars going and looking good.

I concur with your loves and hates, but I don't find the seats that bad I keep the seat back bolt upright and adjust fore and aft only.

Went out for a blast in the GTV yesterday, it made me grin!

When we meet for April V6 run, you'll have to show me how you got the seat set; as I just can't get it to work for me???

I'll have a sit in yours to get an idea.. Anything will help.

I'd buy the Alfaholics seats for a Grand, but not their 3k+ prices!!!
