Sunday 13th March

As per the title, we'll meet up at a couple of locations and have a drive through the Kent and Sussex Countryside and finish up at the Vine Inn; Tenterden.

Meet Point #1
Meet at 08:00hrs at Notcutts Garden Centre in Maidstone, J7 off M20. Bearsted Road, Maidstone, ME14 5LH. Will be leaving at 08:30hrs, so plenty of time to get here.

Meet Point #2
Meet at 09:30hrs (approx) at Sainsburys Tunbridge Wells, Linden Park Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5Q. We will leaving at 10:00hrs. There is also an Esso petrol station nearby if anyone needs fuel, or use the Sainsburys garage.

There is no planned route for this one - just follow the person in front and bring a 2-way radio with the channel preset to #6.

We will headout through the countryside, down to Battle / Hastings, Winchelsea, Rye, Camber Sands, Brenzett, Appledore, Sissinghurst and Tenterden for the Pub.

There are a couple of stop off points for getting a Cuppa and use of the Loo etc. which will be taken care of as we go.

Please note that I will be hosting this one in my TT as the GTV is going up for sale and I don't want to be using it - saves me cleaning it again !!

I know a few people who come along regularly to my events that have a range of different cars, so feel free to either bring your Alfa or anything out of your collection that takes your fancy - I am not that precious about these things. It's more of getting together and enjoying a day out with a decent pub lunch at the end.

Cheers,

Paul

When I got notified of your post, I was just checking the weather...

Looks like a spectacular weekend

(will need to give my TT a good clean, as it's properly dirty driving through the country back roads to work!!).

Sunday Forecast

SUN
SUN
SUN
SUN

AND.....

MORE SUN with highs of 12-15C ... I'll take that for March.

90% of my meets are bestowed with the best weather - I must have the knack.

BTW.. Dean (Tancho) should be coming in the M3 - so that will be x2 Panzer Wagons I am afraid.

I probably would've come to this, but I won't be free until 11am ish

Plus I'm going to another meet on Saturday so perhaps using that much fuel isn't good for my wallet...

I'll keep my eyes open for the next one

These get togethers have unparalleled popularity!!!

No worries mate, will be a good crowd.

REMINDER.... Please preset your talkie talkie to Channel #6. Saves fanning about with it on the day! Cheers Guys. Paul.

Hi All,

I can't get my hands on a CB radio at the mo. Hope that's not a problem.

See you tomorrow,

Someone may have a spare for you to use. Unfortunately I'm down to just one now.

If not, just be in the middle of the pack

See you there.

Yes.. Today was a juggle, but we got some good blasts on some nice roads.

I've already set April's times, so the next ones will be set for 07:30hrs if that's preferable for all?

Do like your Coupe Turbo looked mean in my mirrors today.

It's either a gift or I'm bloody lucky with the weather for these meets... Shame it doesn't extend to my lotto tickets when I get them on the odd occasion

After spanking the SLK to bits down the side of a French mountain pass, I'll be keeping to a "Tin Top" forever more.. I think my luck would only go so far!!

Nice to see you guys again and we'll get a few more organised as the better weather arrives!!

Yes I do like the Coupe, had the old girl for 12 years and still look back when I park her up! Haven't hussled her around the twisty's for a long while like that either.

Hi All,

Many thanks to everyone for making it a great day out. It was lovely to meet you all - Mark, GeffyB, Freddie and Henry etc - a great bunch and thanks for spotting my racing slick rear tyre btw! :-( Better get that sorted this week..!

A big thanks of course to you Paul, for organising it all and picking such lovely roads to blast up and down. Can i also shout out a quick thank you to the two 'M3' boys, who I had lots of fun trying to keep up with and who were superb in keeping the pack together around Rye and up and down The Military Road! Nice one fellas.

Can i request if anyone took any good photo's that you upload them to here when you get a mo? Many thanks.

Already looking forward to the next one. Hopefully see you all again soon.

Just given the GTV bit of a run out this morning... Does make a good noise!!

Will feel like a new car once Jamie has finished with it. Nice new suspension will be good to have for the April one.

EDIT
Could not be bothered to split the jobs over the next two months, so its having it all done..

- x2 Powder Coated Pans and Powerflex bushes
- x2 Powder Coated Dog Leg Arms and Powerflex bushes
- x2 Powder Coated Rear Upper Arms and Powerflex bushes
- x2 New Bump Stops and x4 Drop Links
- x1 Repaint Rear Anti-Roll Bar and Strongflex bushes
- x4 Koni SRT Dampers
- x4 Suplex Springs
- x2 OE Damper Sleeves
- x2 Front Track Rod Ends
- Repaint and Free Up Rear Track Control Rods
- Full Service + Thermostat + Washer Pump + Brake Fluid Change
- MOT
- AC ReGas
- Hunter Alignment

To Follow (as per David's strong recommendation )... Quaife LSD, which I will get done around June / July as its a bit of coin and then next year it will have a full paint re-fresh, as there are a number of stone chips and blemishes that I want sorting... at which point it has then had a complete mechanical overhaul / upgrades and will be factory fresh

With regards to all my old rear suspension pans / arms and upper wishbones; these are going to be shot blasted and repainted in Satin Black and can be supplied with either Strongflex's Track Day (Yellow) or Standard Fast Road Use (Red) PU bushes.

If anyone is interested let me know.
