just found out today there's some carbon deposit built up around injector 3, so will have this sorted too before remap day
You would be looking at an increase of approx 35BHP and 50ftlb of torque. They map very well.

Thanks

Hi
what would I expect out of a 1.4 170 ? any chance of breaking 200bhp?
Cheers Mash

The problem is the cat on the 170. It sits next to the turbo and is just bottleneck for exhaust gases. This creates excess heat which can then damage the turbo. If you remap to the full potential then the heat just gets worse and you'd be looking at a new turbo at some point in the future.

As a result, our mapping is quite mild on the top end. Only really a 10-15bhp increase. The biggest difference is in the low and midrange.

There is no chance of breaking 200BHP unless you decat or get a sports cat fitted.

We have a Mito Cloverleaf coming in on the day with a decat fitted. You would be more than welcome to come and take a look at it.

Ciao

Will definetely try and come along. Am looking into the exhaust side of things, so may wait until I have that side done before the remap. But any advice on or before the day is always welcome (K&N will be fitted soon in the meantime)

The sport cat is perfectly legal. It will still pass emissions. You will have just a better exhaust flow.
