One thing we are missing in our area is a chat thread...

so here it is

I see alot of you guys on here but you dont tend to venture much outside of the tech areas, so here is the place to chat with other Southerners.

:D

Hi all, guess I'd better introduce myself as I'm hoping to attend a few meets. :) I live in Gosport and work in Port Solent; originally Welsh but moved here for work some 13 years ago now. I arrived at Alfa ownership through a series of hot hatchbacks, an MX5 and a VX220 Turbo - then the wife fell pregnant and I really had to get "something sensible with four seats"...which is why I ended up coming home with a 147 GTA a couple of years ago..

My 147 is an '04 plate, Rosso with black interior. It differs from standard 147 GTAs by having black 19" wheels, quad-exit Raggazzon exhaust and an Autodelta GTAM front bumper (looks a bit like the Alfa GT's front end) amongst various other bits and bobs. It was originally supercharged by Autodelta until a previous owner reversed the conversion for being "a little hairy".

Maintenance wise things haven't been too bad - water pump and cambelt at about 700 quid was the biggest expense. Mike at A&M Alfa in Wickham looks after it for me.

Looking forward to getting out with you guys!

Morning Zoo :HI:

Not sure how easy it would be to get Clogz's Brera to the states, especially since he might need it

Would be a classic mustang, not one of the horrible new ones.

Oh yeah! Hmmm, I'll have to make one of my own! Classic mustang is OK by me!

Ps I know it says surrey, but mum and dad live in Bournemouth and that's where I am from! That should make me South Central enough right? :D

Yeh close enough, Surry isnt far away anyway. Your more than welcome to come to our meets, espcially since Surry is covered by the South East which goes all the way down to Dover.
