My Dutch is a bit rusty (it was never very good) so I didn't understand how the engine speeds are synchronised. All I caught was that it was no problem.

Ah so he did finish it in the end, well done!
There were some videos of this project a few years back, By then the mechanicals worked, but the car was not finished. Now it looks complete, quality workmanship it seems like.

But I would not take that to the track. The car must be extremely heavy, and with the weight at either end must work like a dumbbell in corners! At any over and understeer the car will just want to let go into whatever direction the weight wants to take it.
