Nope, never went to them - well actually once to see the 4C
I'd be happy with an Alfa specialist but, as far as I know, there aren't many in Cork - if any at all. Small jobs I can do for myself, but anything that requires lifting and/or tools bigger than what can fit in a box - not a chance.
Most mechanics/garages, at least in Cork, don't strike me as very professional if I have to say - lots of unsolicited advice which is, in essence, simply repeating hearsay. Coming from somebody who should
know about cars, sounds pretty terrifying!
Recently saw a funny one with a colleague: he's looking for a 4-doors saloon and would like to go premium. So amongst the other things, he asked me about the 159 - even 'though he's more inclined to go German. He narrowed it down - either an A4 or a 3-Series, with a thought about a 159 if a really good, hi-spec one pops for sale somewhere. Then he talked to his "mechanic" uncle - who essentially told him "screw that, get a Skoda Octavia, they're bulletproof!". Becuase his uncle is the "mechanic" and "knows stuff", he's now looking for an Octavia (which ain't even a 4-doors saloon but a hatchback!), even if he actually really wants a BMW
