Hey all,

The classics Moll's Gap & Healy Pass are calling us again.

We'll meet up in the Tesco car park in Killarney at 12pm for a chat & maybe a quick bite to eat before departing sometime between 12:30 & 1:00.

From Killarney we'll head for Moll's Gap stopping at Torc Waterfall, then Ladies View (there's a café there http://www.ladiesview.com/ ) & again at the Gap itself for a few pics.

From there it's on to Kenmare where depending what people want we can stop or head straight onto the start of the Healy Pass where there's a lay-by at Lauragh where we can again stop for a few mins before starting up the Pass.

Once we get down to the end of the Pass we'll stop at the school just before Adrigole where we can head home from there or head to Glengarriff for a bite to eat if that's what people want.

Here's a Google Map of the suggested route including sat nav co-ordinates of the meeting point.

Here's a few pics from some of the previous meets there https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/meets...ly-2012-a.html & https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/meets...pt-2013-a.html

It's always a good day out there so hopefully we'll see a few more new as well as a few familiar faces make the trip again, also if anyone has any suggestions for the day speak up. As ever all are welcome so come along & get your RSVPs in.

So that's Sunday 14th September at 12pm in Tesco car park Killarney (sat nav co-ordinates 52.062861, -9.494323 off the R876)

See you all on Sunday 14th September at 12pm in Tesco car park.

Also please RSVP if you are a Yes or a Maybe so you get a reminder & updates if there are any changes or if the meet is postponed for any reason.

For a change how about visiting Torc Waterfall (pretty good if there's been some rain) just outside Killarney (52.006248, -9.505847), and Barley Lake near Glengarriff (51.758296, -9.622295)?

It's an amazing place providing the weather is better than it is today!

If we do go up there then I'll need to leave the GT near the bottom and grab a lift with someone driving something with a bit more clearance.

I may not be able to make it after all.

The upper turbo hose has gone on the GT so I'm dependent on getting a delivery from Autolusso before the weekend and that isn't a given.

I don't think you'd appreciate it if I turned up in a Volvo.

That's a pity, hope your GT is back on the road soon

Bring the Volvo if you want, I've no problem with that & it wouldn't be the first time we've had people bring something other than an Alfa to a meet.

Cheers Ned. I'll send you a mail.

Understand that I wasn't saying I thought your turnaround is slow - far from it! It's that I live in the middle of nowhere and sometimes UK to Ireland deliveries aren't the speediest.

If it were just about meeting strange men in a car park, I would be visiting a very different sort of website David.

I don't yet have the pipe from Autolusso although it may arrive tomorrow. In the meantime I have attacked the original pipe's split with a combination of super glue, a soldering iron to melt the surface rubber, bicycle tyre patch, and plastic electrical tape ringed by many plastic ties pulled tight.

Providing my bodge holds, or I get the silicone pipe in tomorrow's post, I shall be there.

Hey David,

I'm not going to be able to make the trip this weekend - I dropped on one knee during the week so a bit of visiting etc. to do

Sorry for pulling out now - hope ye have a great run and I'll endeavor to make the next.

Cheers,
Vin

Sounds painful. The sort of pain which lasts a lifetime.

Congratulations.

New pipe was a no-show today.

I've fitted back the bodged old one and it seems to be holding. If it lasts the weekend I'll be most proud of myself.

See you both on Sunday.
