Finding a V6 166 - Hens teeth

Decided after must delibertaion of replacing my 156, having thought about Subaru Imprezza, Mazda RX8 , Mercedes C class, BMW 3 series , Jaguar X type and the rest...I've swung the other way and decided I want to stick with Alfa for the time being and go looking for a V6 166 2.5 or 3.0.

Problem is....finding one! , there like bloody hens teeth. Prices here seem ok when one comes up but then you need the right one, in the right condition at the right price and Uk prices are higher for some reason (Tax lower??)...

If anyone can keep an ear to the ground or knows where there is a little minter hiding, give me a shout!

Finding a minter 166 v6 will be hard. Those who have minters are enthusiasts in no rush to sell and no need to sell.
How about Barry's 156, 3.0 v6?

I know two 166 v6s but they'd need a good bit of work.

How about this 3.2?
Carzone Mobi

Or this super up north.

I'd have that super. I really really wish mine was a manual.

I actually seen that super and contacted the guy yesturday about it, price seems fair and he is willing to come down a little so considering making a trip up the weekend to have a look. I'm in Dublin, tax is €422 a quarter though! , a 2.5 liter is €300 a quarter which is easier to swallow coming from 2.0 TS...Decisions!

I saw Barry's v6 156 cracking car but I'd imagine well out of my price range!

Will you be driving it every day? Or nearly every second day? If so it's only an extra 1.35 a day. That's not even one cup of coffee, or a newspaper.

If it's only once or twice a week then it'll be hard to stomach either way. That's why mines off the road, not paying the equivalent of 25 euro per day of driving

I don't know what Barry is asking for his, but you could always drop him a pm and ask him. If you don't ask, you won't know

Pm for good price on parts for your 156 v6
