Cars and Coffee- Cherrywood, October 6th (Meet)

Following on from Fluffyduffs suggestion of going to the cars and coffee, I wanted to post up some details on the C&C Cherrywood to see if we can organise a meet for some of the Alfaowners in the ROI section.

There is normally a great turnout each month for this and it is a great opportunity to have a chat and look at some lovely metal. Lots of different marques there both old and new ranging from Fiats to Lamborghinis.

The details:

When: October 6th
Time: From 10:30 onwards
Location: Cherrywood Business Park, South Co Dublin. Directions: Take exit 16 from the M50, and follow the road to the complex, park up in the large car park opposite the Spar store on the immediate right upon entering the gate.

Just a word of warning - 60kph speedtrap on the way down the road to the carpark. Also, keep it orderly on the way in and out, there are kids about.

Attending:
1) Alfamj - GT Monza
2) Fluffyduff - 166/33
3) Mysterio - (weather permitting)
4) the_danimal - hopeful - 147
5) Peadar - a maybe if he can get up on time! - 146
6) ilovemybrera - 3.2 Brera
7) Patterson - maybe - 156
8) JD_Brera - maybe - 2.0JTDm Brera
9) Joey - maybe - 156 GTA / 156 SW

Thanks Tess.

It really is a great event. Last month covered American Muscle Cars, Vintage Italians, 90s Japanese, Supercars, and the insane- Morris Minor Countryman with a V8 engine

A highlight of the last meeting:
Modern Ford GT40 (one of the organisers owns this). He was driving in first gear leaving the carpark at a very low speed, as it turned at the top of the carpark, the engine vibration noise triggered off two car alarms of the adjacent parked cars! Everyone was laughing.

A few other machines I really enjoyed drooling over at the last few months:

Lamborghini Gallardo
Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Fiat 128
Toyota Supra TRD
Nissan GTR x2

I will get some photos up... they won't all be Alfas though, just a word of warning. But I will try keep as much of an Italian flare as possible.

Bump!

Anyone else interested?

I wouldn't worry, AO is very tolerant of other makes

We've had Fords, Mazdas, Seats, MGs & others just to name a few & we didn't even keep them out of the pics

Have a good one lads, there's usually a good turnout going by the pics elsewhere

I've a fresh coat of wax (on both cars) lined up for Saturday. Hopefully Sunday brings some good weather.

Very good Frank. I might to spare some time on Saturday too to put a coat of resin on. Did a mini valet last Saturday, hoovered out the interior and put leather cleaner on. I hope to get a paint correction detail done at some point to take out a few small scratches on the bumpers.

I'll hopefully be along to this. I actually went to my first ever C&C last month but arrived fairly late with people beginning to leave. I'll have to get the 147 nice and shiny I think I spotted alfamj's GT the last time, lovely machine.

Nice one the_danimal, I'll put you down as on the list as hopeful!

Yes that was my GT there last time First time I had brought her to the C&C. I actually find that people tend to look more inside the car than the outside Must be the black / red contrasting leather.

I believe there has been TVRs there in the past, I will keep a lookout and get a few snaps if there is. I wouldn't mind a Tuscan with that purple dynamic colour, a director in my previous job used to have his in with him in the underground carpark.

Ive no idea what to go down in. Part of me says I should take the 33 out for a spin before it comes off the road for the winter.

The other part of me that likes being comfortable and not deaf says take the 166

Its an unusual scenario for me, my previous choice of Alfas was "whichever one isnt broken" but the current lineup has been hassle free. I don't even drive around with a toolbox in the boot anymore!

Hmm it's a tough one to call Frank. You haven't had the V6 at a C&C yet though have you?
