Somewhat lapsed. Did the Etape in 2007 and came in the top 1000, which sounds shabby, but I was aiming simply to finish. At that stage I was doing 300 miles a week training and would look on a 1000m climb as a warm up. 5 years later, I'm 2 stone heavier, and still have a garage full of Titanium bikes. For the first time in ages I have got an office with showers, so I am going to start riding to work again, 10 miles each way. Looking forward to ripping up some tarmac, but I think it is going to hurt a bit.
