TI Auto's track day Aftermath thread

What an amazing day, what amazing cars.

The rain cleared away just in time thank god and everybody played safe. I am still amazed at how well the GTV performed, its still on rails! As for the other cars! Paddy that GTA is amazing :happy2: Really loved seeing the old 105 GTV's racing around, it was an amazing site George I'll send you the valeting invoice for the brown you left on my passenger seat :winky:

What a great day / afternoon.

The rain stopped for four hours only, but it was the four hours that mattered.

Got to the track as a observer / photographer only, but a bit of talk with the hospitable Campbells got me on to the track.
Lots of nice cars out there, really enjoyed the old cars. Very comforting to see that they have good homes. really like the original red GTA. Id love to sit in the passenger seat in that next time round.
Driving standards were good, despite the majority of people having not been on track, people watched their mirrors and let faster cars go by. Mostly

If Ti Autos does this again, I would be very interested. Good folks, good food, lots of banter, and track time with other Alfa's. I might have to send my car to Ti-Autos more often, but so be it

No videos of me sadly. I really really need to get a camera installed now.

2003 156 GTA Selespeed - Alfa Rosso + black multispokes, Eibach anti rollbars, Quaife ATB diff, 330mm brakes, Bilstein B12, De-cat wrapped manifolds + EQ downpipes + Ragazzon silencer, CDA intake, (carefully) removed interior & Sparco bucket seats + 6 point harness
2002/6 156 JTS Selespeed - Full Ti interior, late model camshafts, Supersprint manifolds, Ragazzon silencer

Yea that lancia is a special bus alright.
It definitely gets my "noise of the day" award , the GTV6 was a close second though.

Well lads that was some day, Hope you all enjoyed it as much as i did!

I've been given orders from Gerry to thank all of you'se for coming along and taking part in what was a brilliant day and also for the continued support over the years. Everything went as planned and the weather could'nt of worked out better with the rain stopping for just the right amount of time. The display of cars was great ranging from the newest of giuliettas right back to the 1962 giulietta spider that one of our customers drove all the from Schull and back just to drive on the track day! It was also great there was no major breakdowns on the day, besides david's 145 acting up after not been driven for the best part of two years and then the 146's battery connections taking a disliking to me running wide on the kerbs, but that was a quick fix. So again, thanks a million from all at T.I. Autos!

@cannotstop, I saw George's legs quivering after he got out of your car!
He did say you drove outstandingly - I was going to ask to go out with you - maybe next time...
It's definitely addictive!

Well done to Gerry and family for a fantastic day. The only problem is that your going to have to make this a regular event. Great food, great banter and the weather even cleared up.

I was that passenger! Great driving, Rory. Lovely to hear that flat four up close. Don't worry about the lack of brakes - they're only for whimps!

When you said you learnt something I wondered if you meant never to get in the car with me again! Shame about the brake fade alright. I was delighted it didn't use a drop of coolant (I had changed all the coolant hoses a few months ago) but it did use half a pint of oil per 'run.'
