Alfa Mito Broken

Hi All,
My Alfa Mito 2009 1.4 is broken, by all accounts Tractamotors in Blanch took 2 days to discover a variator was broke and this was causing cylinder miss fires. Now the car is gone well over a week and still no sign of a variator part.

very unhappy at this but what can i do.....

otherwise love the car.

Cheers (just a rant really)

Have you been given a reason as to why it's still not fixed, parts availability etc. ?

They advised me it was taking a long time to get the Variator, then this arrived and problem still not solved, so a "pully" ordered on advise of Alfa. This was due in today and nothing arrived. So looking at Tuesday or wednesday next week.

so pushing 5 weeks

True that. Mine is in the garage too, and its very cheap on the bike.
The fiat 500s are lovely, buuut I def wouldn't switch to one when you have an alfa. Also its not the alfa's fault, its those feckers in the garage.

Of course its the Alfas fault, it broke in the first place. Why blame the garage. Blame Alfa (or Fiat). Who built the car in the first place...Fiat....who supplies the parts...Fiat....who is responsible for maintaining stock levels....Fiat.
All the dealer can do (any dealer) is order parts and hope that they are supplied in time. They have no control over how long, or reason involved with delays.

The garage have been brilliant, The service manager has kept me up to date at all times and would recommend to anyone.
The issue is with the parts, the supply has been so very poor. Over 4 weeks on one part and 5 days on another.

Fiat Group Ireland called me yesterday and offered to look after anything i need with extended warranty for the next year and a full service when needed all taken care of due to the very long delays.

I must stress any and all commuinication i had with the garage or Fiat Group was not a shouting match. no anger just explaining my frustration and embarresment with the situation. All very calm

Hopefully getting the motor back today all fixed and reasy to go. Fingers crossed in any case.

This is brilliant to here and thankfully it is the contrary to opinions and views shown in so many other threads here, well done to Fiat Ireland and the dealer involved as my family have had good experiences of that dealer

Great to hear you got it all sorted and not too long either. Fiat Ireland seem to be upping there game lately which is a good thing.
