Mondello day out

Hi Lads,

I was talking with some friends and we will be trying to organise to go on the Mazda 3 sports course up in Mondello. Looks like a very good day out but the cost is a wee bit high at 149 IMO. I have been in touch with Mondello and told them I would probably have a large group so would we get a discount? Their answer was depending on the group size if large enough but more than likely instead of a discount they might throw in another course like for instance their autotest course so you could get the standard Mazda 3 course and on top of that you get some laps in the autotest course.
So the reason for this post is to invite or ask if anybody is interested to let me know by posting your answer in this thread. Please note I dont have a date set, I'm currently gauging interest and depending on numbers will depend on the deal I get. If you at least confirm your interest then I can add that to the group and go back to Mondello saying this is how many I have, what can you do for me for 149?
So before I get people replying and asking why is it that price, why cant it be this that or the other or I should be giving more info...... its just to get an idea of your interest in this day out. They do it on weekends but there are not too many left so the sooner I know the better the chance of getting a weekend slot.

Cheers

Dont bend the rules, Rule the bends

is this some advanced driver training thing, like what James May and Jackie Stewart did on Top Gear, or just trashing Mazda3 cars around all day? either way, I'm interested

Mark - not to pour cold water on this, but is this their basic intro course minus the single seater part? i.e. a couple of laps with an instructor and then 10 laps by yourself? It would be over quite quickly if so and doesn't seem great value. Having done the course incl the single seater piece some years back, the latter is the most fun part and gives something different for those who have done normal saloon track days. I've always wanted to try autotest though, so if you can get that thrown in, I'd be more up for it and as said, it would make a good AO get-together.

Hi Tim, again as I said in the post I'm only gauging interest, I'll take your advice onboard though as its good to know. Whichever is the best deal they can do we will run with that. Cost is a factor as is individuals track experience.
