I'm watching it now on setanta ireland Frank. Don't suppose you have that channel? They are showing a rerun of the P1 session this morning. Think they are using BBC commentary.

What Dermot said, if you have Sky HD you have access to the Sky Sports F1 channel, no Sky Sports subscription required

Ah well

There's been some discussion here about how to watch F1 if you haven't got Sky via internet streams etc.

At the risk of seeming dumb, what's the issue with that site and personal info?

Get your facts straight, it is on sky sports.

An existing HD customers cant get it without a subscription to sky sports, unless it was part of their sign up deal which is available at the moment with new HD connections.

Yes it's on Sky Sports F1/HD channel 408 as I already stated.

Again if you have Sky HD you do NOT need a Sky Sports subscription. I'm a long time existing customer WITHOUT Sky Sports but WITH Sky HD & I have Sky Sports F1 HD channel 408
See here to check your facts http://f1.sky.com/get-it-now

I have HD and i DONT have F1 coverage...... when i phoned sky they said i need skysports package....

Now i really dont care about the ins and out of what sky do and dont do, all i wanted to know from this thread is has anyone else had a problem listening to BBC 5 live for the races, i could get it before the race but once race started it was blocked from listening in my region (ireland).... ?

So i will try again tomorrow i guess, unless anyone knows of another site i can get commentary on?

I'd get on to Sky to get you F1 HD sorted as well, you are basically paying for it after all...

The only reason you'd need the Sky Sports pack to watch the F1 is if you haven't got HD. Sky have been advertising for months that F1 is included with HD

Is there a problem with your Sky HD subscription, as I said your channel 408 should be Sky Spts F1 HD not Sky Sports F1 ?
Can you watch channel Sky 1 HD 106, Sky Atlantic HD 108 etc ?

If you are paying for the HD you shouldn't need to worry about RTL/BBC 5 Live.

Franko perhaps you have the HD box but not the HD package, which is what I have, ie can you see Sky1 HD (channell 170) but can see BBC HD (channell 143)?

That's what I was thinking & it explains the reason for the difference in the channel title listing for 408 & why Sky said he needed the Sports Pack
