All the big threads all over AO have been closed & new ones opened to replace them to try to speed up the site

Anyway it's my thread not yours so if anyone should have been told it's me

( I don't care as it makes no difference anyway, just carry on as before )

Bit of a tech question, at moment i have 215/45-17" on my 03 156 sport 1.8 but i think they are to low and was thinking of changing them to 55 profile cos i dont like the look of them so if i do change the tyres will the car feel as tight and would the feedback thru the wheel feel the same,Jerry in IT has just put on 2 new wishbones and the car is possilbily the best drivers car i have ever had and i dont want to ruin it, i only have the car 3weeks,any comments would be great, cheers lads

That's a huge increase in diameter ( 43mm ) & will probably cause clearance issues.
It'll also affect the gearing, speedo reading etc.

Have a look here to see the effect of what you want to do TYRESAVE: Tyre Size Calculator
