Not Happy Mito 2012 Issues

Guys,

Why is it such a issue trying to order a new Mito 170 Mulitair, ive been waiting since early December to order through my dealership and to this day today its still not ordered due to Alfa in Italy no opening up the ordering system for dealerships to place customers orders.....

Christ you would think in this day and age spending a lot of money on a new car would be a priority for Alfa.....

Anyone have any ideas or heard anything about this bloody mess.....

And to top it all this is my first venture into having a Alfa, can you believe it, would put you off getting one....

not all 27k goes to the Alfa garage, over half it goes to the Irish Gov. Alfa would be lucky to get 20% of the sticker price.

I can understand your frustration - few enough people are buying new Alfa Romeos, so regardless of how much the garage or Alfa Romeo themselves are getting, you'd think they would be set up to sell when a customer wants to buy, otherwise, what's the point anymore?

When you say 'your dealership' - are you tied to buying from a particular dealer? If so, why? If not, have you spoken to any other dealers?

I don't think Alfa Romeo in Ireland have 'customer services' so there's no central point of contact you can approach unfortunately.

And, are you wed to the idea of a new car?

Alfa Romeo Mito TURBO - €12,950 - Used Cars on Carzone.ie - New & Used Cars in Ireland

(I'm afraid I'm not to up to speed on the newer petrol engines, so apologies if the engine in the car I've linked to is not the Multiair - I suspect it is not and so is not as efficient to run or tax, still what you lose on annual costs, you save on purchase price, plus, the dealer in question has a good reputation as far as I know)

All the best, hopefully you stick with Alfa!

Cowboys Ted, they're a bunch of cowboys!

Someone else said Glenda Gilson was a previous owner, for the record she wasnt (not that it makes much of a difference). I asked her herself. Nice car though, dont know what engine it has. 135bhp would be nice. Newer multiair with stop stop are lower CO2s and more grunt

Not name dropping or anything, but I've known Saoirse Ronan since she was a little girl.

I'm wondering if I'll be able to order/buy another 159??? normally we'd be changing again round May, but all i see round is a poverty spec Turismo... A 170 Giulietta would be nice, but too small...

After 13 years we could be saying goodbye

You know they stopped producing RHD 159s around mid 2011, hopefully you can find a suitable one in stock but I'd say there aren't many if any remaining & I've never seen any sitting in stock in Ringaskiddy. IIRC there were only 11 159s registered last year

Let us know how you get on & how Alfa respond.

Not many left in stock in the UK either it seems https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/gener...ial-offer.html Stunning 2.0 ti in White :ccol:

Lets see how Alfa Romeo Ireland respond...But realistically anything smaller than a 159 is no good to me...And we'll be changing come June either way...

Sad really, drove back from killarney this morning the long way round, Tarbert Ferry and then via Doolin, Ballyvaughan, and back home...excellent drive in the Ti, mile after mile of smiles..

Fingers crossed Alfa can find something...

Ohh ya, covered 450 Miles on €50 Yo-Yo's of the black stuff
