The sad thing is you're probably not far off Got to love the method used to apply VRT & VAT based on the final list price :NUTTER: :HEADBANG:

Good news and not really surprised they had to bin the carbon body idea. I don't quite follow the bit in the TG article that says it has gained power to now be 230bhp I'm sure that was/is the standard output of the GQV motor?

I don't think Alfa ever specified an exact figure for power output just that it would be 200+
Supposedly the GQV engine isn't being used now, can't remember where I read that now perhaps in one of the threads in GAD or the 4C Tech Lounge.
With so many rumours, speculation & fiction who knows anymore what's what

The GQV is quoted as 235Bhp but some have said that's not constantly available ? Something to do with savaging IIRC

Another thread on the subject here https://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...roduction.html

ah yes indeedy... Scavenging (automotive) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I had read somewhere about the TBi engine being used, but under powered due to CO2 tax bands bull****.

In the end I bet Alfa will blurb on about making a 4C then just roll out a diesel powered family mini-SUV with a Jeep Cherokee chassis...... bets anyone?

that's still expensive (VRT). BUT! what about getting fired, move in with ER for 6 months, spend the redundancy money on the car, then bring it to the republic.
