Selling the Fiat 500

Decided this deserved it's own thread...

If you know of anyone interested in a little used 500 then please send them my details.
Is in perfect condition - serviced just recently.

Have it on octane
2008 Fiat 500 For Sale - Octane.ie
and donedeal
'08 Fiat 500 for sale in Limerick : €7,500 - DoneDeal.ie

8500 miles on the clock and drives like a charm.
Asking 7500 for it - although there is some wiggle room.

wow!!
Brera up for a month - was good (IMHO) at 18k, then 16k, and IMHO great for 14k.. not a fecking sausage in terms of calls or offers.

Fiat is up since 9pm last night - 4 interests already!

the 500 is very well priced, I'd say 3 of the 4 were female?

Like I said before, you'll sell 3 or 4 500's in the time to sell 1 Brera. Insurance, tax & purchase price of the Brera limits the number of potential buyers.

No wonder.. No offence to the Brera, but the 500 is like a small puppy, everyone wants one

I drove a 500 as a rental in September in Austria and it was a great little yoke, really enjoyed chucking it around for a weekend...

Austrian speeding ticket arrived in the post last week as proof...

Just a small bump to remind folks to help me out in selling this

Been driving it the last few days - and yep - it's a real cracker of a car. Not as powerful as the Brera, but great to drive around town...

It is a real little beauty rikd. I had a guy for your brera before you sold it. He was gutted. I'll spread the word!! Would you throw up a pic or 2 of the interior?

It would be a sin to sell it for so little. But having said that, the Brera took an awful hit!!

Hi rikd- I'm not usually big on white cars, but the 500 looks well in it. The other half is on the look out for a car so I will let her know of this. I second the call for a couple of interior pics...

The Brera was never going to command the money it was actually worth, not in this country. 2.4 road tax & high Insurance grouping was limiting the number of buyers to a hand full. The UK was the place to sell the Brera. that said, at 10k I was very tempted myself to buy it. It was a stunning looking car.

The Fiat is in a very different league, low cc, low tax, cheap insurance [ for young people ], it should sell for closer to its true worth.

IMHO, Advertising the fact you are leaving the country weakens your position. The 'vultures' will circle & wait til the last few days & swoop in with 5k'ish in order to 'take it off your hands'.

Rik - as a matter of interest - what is the motor tax and what sort of MPG does it get?

Will try and get these today.. Now that I drive the car it's easier to get them in the daytime.. Otherwise it was never around until the evening

Yeah - I'd expect that.. I have a figure in mind and it's not 5k..
Let them offer.

Tax is Band A. Ä104 right now, but I think Ä150 next month. Not sure on exact MPG.. Wife does very little mileage and I don't know exact size of tank. I reckon she's getting about 38mpg in and around Limerick City (it doesn't go further), but I've been driving a few days now and I think it's doing more than that, but won't know until I fill her up and then watch it.. I'll see if there's something in the onboard computer - just learning my way around it right now

Rik I would stick by your price as they do sell and f all the timewasters as this country seems to be filling up with lads who offer peanuts for a car and want the star moon and sky when selling theirs....

Beautiful bambino... My wife would bite your arm off for it, but in all honesty it'd be a waste for us (she's as quick walking to work as driving, given the Cork City traffic and the location of her work's off-site car-park).

Stick to your guns on the price.. and keep your gob shut about leaving the country. If anyone asks, just lie and say you're having a kid and need to buy something bigger. It's amazing how many timewasters you get when you try to sell a car..

(Just thinking, I'd be lucky to get that for my 07 147... )
